FinACE: Personal Support Raising
The FinACE Department is the area of Mercy Ships Chaplaincy that concentrates on the financial health of all crew. The FinACE acronym stands for Financial Accountability, Coaching and Encouragement. FinACE strives to provide you with the tools and encouragement to enable you to gather a support team around you to meet the financial, relational and spiritual challenges you may encounter.
Our vision is that all crew will be able to raise the appropriate support necessary to do the work God has called them to do without financial strain. Your future well being is greatly impacted by preparation in this area. There are those who serve in the field and those that support with prayer or giving. As the one 'going' it is vital to have others join you in your journey with Mercy Ships with prayer support and encouragement so that you arrive fully funded.
is our program designed to enhance our volunteer’s support raising initiatives. Upon acceptance, each person wishing to process support through Mercy Ships will be assigned a designation code. This code serves as your account number and should be given to donors/potential donors so that gifts are properly credited to your benefit. While each country with a Mercy Ships office may process funds differently, it is most important that this number accompany all gifts coming to any Mercy Ships location.
Upon receipt of your designation code, you will also become a participant in CrewMates and have a personal page on the Mercy Ships international web site. Your web page can be customized with personal information such as a story of your journey to Mercy Ships or a personal testimonial. A personal photograph can be included as well. Donors can make a one-time gift or set up a monthly recurring gift through this site. Mercy Ships DVDs are available for use in making presentations, and a newsletter template is available and can be used for sharing patient and crew stories or personal experiences of your own.
