New Norwegian-Dutch docudrama series “Fride and the Ship” to air on KRO Children’s TV

frideAmsterdam, the Netherlands, October 18, 2010 - Fride is eight years old and lives with her family on a large hospital ship off the African coast. While her parents help sick people, Fride goes to school onboard the ship. What is it like to live on a ship? What is it like to live in an African country?

 

 

 

This new ten-part docudrama series through the eyes of Fride on the ship will premier on Friday, Oct. 29 at Cinekid, the international film festival for children in Holland. As of Monday, November 1 the series about her adventures can be seen daily on KRO Children’s TV.

The series takes place on the Africa Mercy, the largest private hospital ship in the world. Fride is the main character and experiences adventures all around the ship. So visit her as she comforts patients, helps her father who is a dentist as he pulls teeth, and cooks 400 hamburgers for the crew in West Africa.

Every night before bed she reports on her day in a postcard to her grandmother.
