Both Marvin United Methodist Church and Mercy Ships are anticipating a very productive, long-term partnership to bring hope and healing to the world’s poorest countries.

Church Sponsorship with Mercy Ships:
- Marvin UMC is already actively involved with Mercy Ships with a threefold approach: education, involvement and finances
- Volunteers from the congregation have assisted in assembling patient kits, putting together water purification kits for Hatian relief and various other maintenence projects
- Recently sent a group from the congregation to the Africa Mercy in Togo, West Africa
- Pledged to raise $50,000 in 2010 to benefit the Mercy Ships Eye Program
