Introduction to Mercy Ships

Introduction to Mercy Ships is a one week program to help facilitate the entry of long-term crew and staff into Mercy Ships. Topics include: Mercy Ships History, Mission, Vision and Values, Philosophy of Missions, Living in Community, Transitions, and Community Life Issues, followed by a Support Raising Seminar. The week includes a personal interview with Human Resources.. Our goal is to help potential crew become informed in their decision making process possible.
Our program is also designed to inform and teach participants how to raise their personal support to serve in Mercy Ships whether short or long term. Topics covered include: Discovering the Biblical Foundation for Support Raising, How to Write Newsletters and Support Letters, Creating a Budget, etc . Our goal is to teach you how to create a support team that will follow your journey and provide the financial support that you will need to successfully serve with Mercy Ships.
Introduction to Mercy Ships (IMS) is a prerequisite to attending a Gateway Program.
All attendees must have an application on file prior to registration. The Introduction to Mercy Ships (IMS) program costs $150 US per person and $250 US for couples, which includes housing, meals and materials.
This program takes place at the International Operations Center in Garden Valley Texas.
