OR Nurse

Operating Room Nurse/Practitioner cares for assigned surgical patients from check-in at the operating room entrance until discharge to the recovery room, assisting the surgeon and surgical team by circulating or scrubbing, and maintaining accurate documentation. This is an on-ship position and requires participation in an on-call schedule. Minimum 2 week commitment. Applicant must have a current nursing or surgical assistant license in home country. The applicant must be able to both scrub and circulate. Available February 05 - February 18, March 25 - May 19, 2012 and August 30, 2012 onward.
Anaesthetic Provider

Provide anesthetic care to patients undergoing surgical and diagnostic procedures as well as manage patients in Intensive Care Unit. Minimum 2 week commitment. Position can be filled by Registered Anaesthetist, Registrar level Anaesthesia Provider or Certified Registered Nurse Anaesthetist. Available October 14 - November 2, 2012, January 20 - February, 2013 and March 1 - June, 2013.

Responsible to the Chief Officer through the Bosun and Assistant Bosun for general duties and also responsible to the Officer of the Watch/Day, during periods on bridge/gangway watch or on fire/security patrol. At least Certificate of Competency according to STCW 95 Section A-II/4 is required as well as having practical and theoretical knowledge with regard to use of hand tools and portable power tools. Minimum commitment of 1 month is preferred. Position is now available in January 2012.
Motorman

Assist in routine watchkeeping, maintenance and cleaning in the engine room. A Certificate of Competency according to STCW 95 Section A-III/4, basic knowledge of engineering principles, and practical and theoretical knowledge with regard to use of hand tools and portable power tools are required. Preferred minimum commitment of 4 weeks. Available beginning January 2012.
