Anaesthesia Supervisor

The Supervisor is responsible for the Anaesthesia Team and this includes assigning cases, monitoring and evaluation of the activities of the team members. Long Term commitment (two years) preferred, but could consider one year. This position is available starting in January 2011. The applicant must be a Consultant or Board Certified Anaesthesiologist.

Anaesthetic Assistant Nurse Team Leader

Anaesthetic Nurse Team Leader coordinates technical support for all anaesthetic related areas within the Hospital, including the OR, Post Anaesthetic Care Unit recovery room, intensive care unit, and radiology. Assist anaesthesia staff in providing anaesthetic care. Maintain inventory of anaesthetic related materials. Maintain anaesthetic equipment in conjunction with biomedical technician. Position available starting in January 2011. Long term comment (2 years) preferred, but will consider 10 months. Pediatric ICU Nurse

Current active Registered Nursing License in home country. Recent experience in an acute surgical setting preferred. Provide total patient care for inpatient surgical patients, working rotating shifts. Specialties include maxillofacial, plastic reconstructive, ophthalmic & orthopedic surgery. General Surgeon

Provide surgical intervention to treat congenital, developmental, or degenerative conditions as well as reconstruction of damage due to injury or infection; manage post-operative care of surgical complications; and prioritize patient selection. The surgical procedures performed most frequently are inguinal herniorrhaphies for large hernias and thyroidectomies. The openings are from March 20 - May 7, 2011 and August 7 - November 19, 2011. The applicant must have an active licensure/registration within home nation; completed specialty training program; and been active in practice within the previous six months.

Peri-Operative Ophthalmic Team Coordinator

This opportunity is available February 27 - November 26, 2011. Coordinate the daily operations of the peri-operative ophthalmic team. Responsible for preparation of patients for surgery. This is done by promoting efficient patient flow while providing high quality patient care. Assure proper patient preparation for surgery including consent form, eye drops, and emotional support. Two year commitment preferred, but will consider one year. Previous leadership experience is required. Ophthalmic experience beneficial, but not required.

Operations & Materials Coordinator - Field Team

The opportunity is available February 27 - November 26, 2011. This member of the Ophthalmic Team will provide day to day logistical support for the team, including materials and data management. One year commitment preferred. Familiarity with quality management processes; strong analytical skills including data entry; strong skills in written and oral communication (English) as well as basic computer literacy, including excel spreadsheet; and ability to drive standard gear shift vehicle and have a clean driving license are required. College or technical school graduate interest and experience within healthcare management is preferred.

Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon

Provide surgical intervention to treat congenital, developmental, or degenerative conditions as well as reconstruction of damage due to injury or infection, manage post-operative care of surgical complications; and prioritize patient selection. Cases to expect are club feet and angular deformities of the lower extremities (tibial and femoral varus and valgus). The opening is from April 24 - May 14. (Please note that the ORs will be closed on Monday, April 25 as part of the Easter holiday). Preference will be given to a surgeon applying or all three weeks over an application for two weeks. The applicant must be a pediatric orthopaedic specialist, have an active licensure/registration within home nation; completed specialty training program; active in practice within the previous six months.

HR Generalist

Duties include serving as the liaison between IOC Placement Facilitators and the vessel/operating location from application approval onwards to arrival on board the ship and beyond. Good computer skills and attention to detail is a must. Should be able to work as a team and have an up-beat, helpful, can-do personality, ability to learn custom systems and applications, excellent communication skills required - both written and verbal. Ability to be flexible as systems are implemented to support the infrastructure of the HR process and a high school diploma are required. Position available in January 2011, one year time commitment required.

Dental Sterilizer

Radiology Technician

Screening Coordinator
