Ship Security Officer (SSO)

To implement and maintain the Company's approved Ship Security Plan on board the Company's ships, according to the requirements of the International Ship and Port Security (ISPS) Code, undertake regular security inspections of the ship to ensure that appropriate security measures are maintained and maintain and supervise the implementation of the ship security plan. Ophthalmic Technician

Role may vary depending upon needs and schedule, but includes providing consistency of care and participating as part of the Ophthalmic Field/Tech Team and is responsible for screening surgical candidates, assessing post-operative patients, and treating minor ophthalmic eye problems. In dockside unit, pre-operative assessment of ophthalmic patients, education of ophthalmic patients, and post-surgical follow-up are provided by this role. This team works in community-based clinics part time and in a dockside unit next to the ship part time. To be filled by a licensed Optometrist (Therapeutics Certified) or Ophthalmologist, Certified Ophthalmic Assistant or Certified Ophthalmic Technician/Nurse. If optometry license is other then U.S., then individual must be certified to treat ophthalmic pathology. Certification must be equivalent to U.S. certification. Minimum commitment is 1 month as long as minimum education and experience requirements are met. Two months preferred. Position is available August 26, 2012 – May 11, 2013.
